Up to $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a Yellow Springs High School Student with promising personal, educational, career or life goals who writes and submits a thousand word essay articulating independence, determination and broad-minded idealism. It is a one-year award applied to an educational, vocational or other institution. Semi finalists may be asked to discuss their essays with the fellowship board. A faculty or other letter of recommendation may be included with the application.
