Thanks for joining YS Giving Tuesday!
What is Giving Tuesday?
Organizations around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving
What is YS Giving Tuesday?
In 2020, Yellow Springs was one of more than 80 communities nationwide that led their own #GivingTuesday movement to benefit local nonprofits. With support from the Yellow Springs Community Foundation, participating nonprofits raised over $36,000 in 24 hours!
How can Giving Tuesday benefit my organization?
Beyond the financial benefits, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to build local nonprofits’ capacity to conduct online giving campaigns. #GivingTuesday harnesses the power of social media to amplify your organization’s message and reach new audiences. YS Giving Tuesday helps donors find organizations and give to more than one seamlessly. Please encourage your donors to use the website for their donations.
What is required of participating organizations?
This year organizations are being asked to accept the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines the roles and responsibilities of the participating nonprofits and the Yellow Springs Community Foundation. This will be provided by the Yellow Springs Community Foundation before November 1st. At a minimum, organizations will have 501(c)(3) status, provide information for the YSGivingTuesday website (e.g., logos) and provide post-campaign data to the Committee for reporting purposes (e.g., total dollars raised, number of new donors, etc.).
Where can I learn more?
