Purpose: to support and encourage YSHS students showing great promise in the performing arts
Awards: Martin Bakari Award ($1,000) and the Maria Bakari Encouragement Award ($200)
Requirements
An essay of 300-500 words telling us about yourself, your goals and ambitions, what you would do with the award funds, a favorite artist, and what inspires you about the artist.
Videos recorded in the current school year of you performing two pieces of your choice (songs, monologues, dances, etc.).
